Family child care is a small, home-based, alternative to large child care and preschool centers. Caterpillar Lane preschool in Dallastown offers a unique combination of AM and PM preschool curricula and extended full-day child care hours in a cozy, home-based setting. Your child will work directly with Mrs. Laura and a small group of peers from enrollment to graduation.
Preschool is a special time in a child's life. A new level of independence is met with curiosity and excitement about the world around. It's a time filled with giggles, milestones, wonder and magic. My whole-child approach to education is dedicated to fostering happy hearts in each of my students by keeping the magic of childhood alive.
Caterpillar Lane is committed to helping children build healthy bodies by providing nutritious foods and daily opportunities for movement through play. Paired with health and safety lessons, daily activities and transitions help to set a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits.
Daily activities offer a play-based, whole-child approach to kindergarten readiness. Curriculum targets development in the areas of mathematics, emergent literacy, science, social studies, the arts, and social and emotional development.
